– The Wimalasurendra Reservoir began overflowing from the afternoon of May 14 following heavy rainfall experienced in the Norton Bridge area, reservoir engineers said. Engineers further said that the water level of Keselgamu Oya has risen slightly due to the overflow of the reservoir.

They also said that the situation is being closely monitored as heavy rains continue in the catchment areas.
