– JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva met a delegation from the World Organization of Buddhist Scholars Alliance (WOBSA), including renowned Indian actor and Buddhist activist Dr. Gagan Malik, at the JVP Head Office.The delegation was led by Prof. Malapalli Laxmaiah, Special Officer of the Buddhavanam project in Hyderabad, Telangana.Silva said extensive discussions were held on collaborative initiatives aimed at supporting Buddhist religious activities, preserving Buddhist heritage and strengthening cultural and spiritual ties between India and Sri Lanka.

He said the discussions also focused on cooperation based on mutual understanding, noting that such initiatives would help preserve the Buddhist heritage of both countries, promote Buddhist culture and foster peace, harmony and friendship.
