The overall headline inflation based on the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) was recorded at 33.6% in April 2023, the Department of Census and Statistics reported.

According to the department, the inflation recorded for April has dropped in comparison to the 49.2% recorded in March 2023.

Food inflation also saw a decrease to 27.1% in April from the 42.3% recorded in March 2023.
