Cabinet approves completion of constructions at four universities
The Cabinet has approved the completion of ongoing construction projects at Jaffna, Kelaniya, Colombo, and Wayamba universities, which had been delayed beyond their original timelines. The projects, implemented under previous Cabinet approvals and guided by the Department of National Planning, aim to provide essential buildings and infrastructure for university education. Cabinet approval includes amendments to the total cost estimates to finalize the constructions, ensuring that the facilities meet the requirements of students and support the universities’ academic activities.
