White House hosts Buddhist blessing for US 250th anniversary

– A Buddhist blessing ceremony was held at the White House in Washington, D.C. to mark the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America, which was celebrated on May 7.
The event was organized by the International Buddhist Association of America and attended by several Buddhist clergy members and representatives.
Among those invited to the ceremony was Most Venerable Katugasthota Uparathana Nayaka Thera, the Co-President of the International Buddhist Association of America and the Chief Judicial Sanghanayake of the United States.
