Rehan Jayawickrama resigns from Samagi Jana Balawegaya
– Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Weligama electoral organizer and former Mayor of Weligama Rehan Jayawickrama has tendered his resignation from the party.
In a letter addressed to SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa, Jayawickrama stated that he was no longer satisfied with the party’s current policies. He stressed that his decision was not driven by personal or political gain, but by a desire to help address the short, medium and long-term challenges facing the country.Jayawickrama said that he was stepping away from the party while placing national interests above personal considerations.
