Cabinet approves support for cleaning and restoring disaster-affected religious sites
The government has approved assistance to clean and restore religious venues damaged during the recent extreme weather conditions. The Cabinet endorsed the President’s proposal, in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Plan Implementation and Economic Development, to provide an allowance of Rs. 25,000 for cleaning and resuming religious activities at affected sites.Required funding will be allocated to the Ministry of Buddha Shasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs to implement the support program.
