Over 25 nabbed with narcotics at social media organized party in Teldeniya
– Twenty-six suspects, including four women, were arrested with narcotics following a police raid on a party organised through social media, Teldeniya Police said.
The raid was carried out in the early hours of today (13) at a hotel near the Victoria Reservoir, within the Teldeniya Police area, where the event was being held.
During the operation, police seized 4,134 milligrams of crystal meth (ice), 1,875 milligrams of hashish, 2,769 milligrams of kush, 390 milligrams of cocaine, 804 milligrams of mushrooms, 13 narcotic pills and 12 illicit cigarettes.The male suspects, aged between 18 and 31, are residents of Kandy, Mulleriyawa, Hatton, Pilagala, Athurugiriya, Kotagedara, Homagama, Dompe, Embilipitiya, Trincomalee and Ja-Ela. The four female suspects, aged between 21 and 26, are residents of Kandy, Negombo and Pundaluoya.
All suspects are due to be produced before the Teldeniya Magistrate’s Court today, while further investigations are continuing
