– Heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm is likely in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Matara, Galle and Puttalam districts, the Department of Meteorology said.The Department said cloudy skies and showers or thundershowers are expected across most parts of the island due to a low-level atmospheric disturbance persisting in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.
