United States Ambassador to Sri Lanka Eric Meyer met Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd.) at the Defense Ministry on October 19 to discuss matters of mutual interest and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on areas of mutual interest and explored avenues to further enhance defense cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United States.The meeting underscored the longstanding relationship between the two countries and their continued engagement in strengthening bilateral ties.US Embassy Defense Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Matthew House was also present at the meeting.
