Former Speaker Asoka Ranwala hospitalized after road accident in Sapugaskanda
– National People’s Power (NPP) MP and former Speaker Asoka Ranwala was hospitalized this evening following a road accident in the Sapugaskanda area, police said.
The accident occurred in the Deniyamulla area in Sapugaskanda when the MP’s vehicle collided with a car. According to police, the former Speaker was reported to have been driving his vehicle at the time of the incident and was admitted to the Ragama Hospital for treatment.A woman and a child travelling in the car also sustained minor injuries and received medical attention.
Sapugaskanda Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
