SL’s Kithul tapping tradition gets UNESCO intangible heritage status

‘Kithul Madeema’ or ‘Kithul Kapeema’, an ancient indigenous technology for tapping Kithul in Sri Lanka, has been inscribed on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. (UNESCO) Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
