Chinese drone experts in SL to help identify vulnerable areas
The Chinese government has provided a team of drone experts to assist Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwa, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) says.Under the guidance of the DMC the team is working to identify areas damaged and at risk of flooding and landslides.According to the DMC, the expert team is currently conducting assessments in several locations in the Kandy District, including Gampola, Tambarigala, Warakapitiya, Ulapane, Nawapitiya, Atabage and Ambuluwawa. The operation is being carried out under the guidance and coordination of the Disaster Management Center.
