– The Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Ministry has allocated an official government residence in Colombo 04 to the Private Secretary of the Speaker Chamira Priyasanka Gallage.

According to an official letter issued by Senior Assistant Secretary (Housing and Development) J.A.A.N. Jayawira, Government Official Residence No. 4-3, Loris Lane, Colombo 04, has been allocated to Gallage from June 6, 2025 until June 5, 2030, or until he ceases to hold the position of Private Secretary to the Speaker.The allocation has been made subject to Public Administration Circular 22/2006 and other government regulations relating to official housing. The letter said that Gallage will be required to pay 12.5% of his salary as monthly rent from the date the residence is handed over. It also said that the conditions outlined in the housing agreement signed on June 8, 2025 regarding maintenance and administration of the residence will remain in effect.

He has also been instructed to coordinate with the Ceylon Electricity Board and Sri Lanka Telecom to obtain the required utility and communication services for the residence.
