Three persons have allegedly broken into a safe at a rural bank in Koralaima, Moragahahena, and fled with a stock of gold jewelry, Police say. The suspects had reportedly broken into the bank around 1.00am today (June 23) and tied up the security officers on duty before gaining access through a window of the washroom at the back of the building.

They had stolen gold in the bank safe before fleeing. However, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far and further investigations are underway.
