The Colombo High Court today (28) ordered that the case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) against former Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda and Yoshitha Rajapaksa be taken up for trial on 23 November.

The order was issued by Colombo High Court Judge Ravindra Premaratne following the conclusion of the pre-trial conference in the case.CIABOC filed the case alleging that the offence of ‘corruption’ had been committed by sending Yoshitha Rajapaksa to undergo training at the Royal Naval College in the United Kingdom despite his not possessing the required qualifications.
