Security tightened around Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court
Police have taken measures to heighten security around the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court premises.Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa is scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today (Sept. 16).
He is scheduled to be produced before the court in accordance with an order issued to the Superintendent of the Colombo Remand Prison by Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena on Sept. 14.The Attorney General’s Department recently took steps to name Namal Rajapaksa as a suspect in the ongoing money laundering case concerning alleged financial irregularities in the aircraft procurement process for Sri Lankan Airlines.
