Two female Sri Lankan athletes have won two medals at the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships being held in Bangkok, Thailand

Dilhani Lekamge has set a new national record with a throw of 60.93m and won the bronze medal in the women’s javelin event while Gayanthika Abeyratne won a bronze medal in the Women’s 1500m event.
