Capital Airlines to launch Beijing – Colombo direct flights next month
The Sri Lanka Embassy in China has announced that Beijing Capital Airlines will commence direct flights between Beijing and Colombo from Jan. 31, 2026.The announcement followed a recent meeting between Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to China, Majintha Jayesinghe, and Liu Jun, President of Beijing Capital Airlines Co., Ltd., during which the scheduled launch of the new route was discussed.Officials said the direct flights are expected to enhance inbound and outbound tourism and further promote travel, trade, and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
