Colombo, Aug. 13 (Daily Mirror) – A group of civil organizations, with the blessing of the Joint Opposition and several others political parties, have formed a common front named ’Free Operations Centre’ to fight against the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution and to preserve multi party democracy in the country.

The Free Lawyers Association, Dinana Dakuna and some trade unions have joined the Free Operations Centre. Free Lawyers convenor Maithri Gunaratne said all political parties are welcome to join the centre. He said the newly opened centre will organize protests and agitation programs in the future.
