The daughter of a Minister who is engaged in higher studies in the UK is currently lodging in a house belonging to a member of the Tamil diaspora, Opposition MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake alleged in Parliament.

“We don’t blame Ministers for associating with diaspora members but those in the government should mention that they are associating with them while associating with others. We have to reveal this information though we don’t want to disturb the victory day celebration,” the MP said.The MP came up with a number of allegations based on various issues and thereby said a certain official attached to the Commission to Investigate Allegations on Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) is playing the role of an executor.

He was referring to the recent death of ex SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena. “There is a song called ‘Maralada Elluwe Ellalada Maruwe (Was he killed before hanging or whether he was actually hanged). “However, this official attached to the CIABOC seems to be engaged in executing people,” he said.He said those who are currently occupying a bungalow in Malwana should be told to go and take over railway houses at Peradeniya which are abandoned.

Also, the MP said 50 percent of the buses belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board will stop plying soon as there are no tyres to be replaced.Furthermore, the MP questioned as to who is behind felling of trees at the Golf Course in Nuwara Eliya.
