Director General of Health Services – Dr. Asela Gunawardena, has stated that registration of dansalas for the upcoming Vesak festival is mandatory.He noted that registration for dansalas commenced on May 04.

Accordingly, all dansala organizers are required to register with the Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) in their respective areas.

He further stated that, based on the guidelines issued by health authorities, organizers will be able to prepare safe and hygienic meals for distribution to the public.
