Flight carrying disaster relief arrives from Russia
A Russian IL-76 cargo aircraft carrying disaster relief supplies arrived in Sri Lanka this afternoon to support communities displaced by Cyclone Ditwah.The consignment included a mobile power station and a stock of essential food items.Russian Ambassador Levan Dzhagaryan, Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Aruna Karunathilake, and Deputy Defence Minister Retired Major General Aruna Jayasekara were present at the official handing over of the relief items.
