Prison officer injured in unrest at Boossa Prison
A prison officer has been injured during a disturbance at the Boossa Prison.It is reported that the unrest erupted when a group of inmates were being moved from their current cells to other cell blocks.The inmates had protested against the transfers and during the commotion a prison officer was assaulted by the inmates, resulting in his injuries.
Prison sources stated that the officer had sustained injuries to his nose.However, it is reported that the situation has now been brought under control.
