Lorry carrying tiles driven on railway track near Kolathenna
– A lorry carrying a load of tiles was driven along the railway track near the Kolathenna railway crossing between the Diyatalawa and Bandarawela railway stations, railway authorities said.According to reports, the driver had attempted to move the lorry along the railway track after the vehicle developed a brake failure.
No injuries have been reported in the incident.Railway authorities said the incident had not caused any disruption to train services on the Upcountry railway line.
