Castle Street Women’s Hospital Director Dr. Ajith Dantanarayana said a new program has been implemented at the hospital to allow fathers in the delivery room during the birth of their child.

He said Castle Street Women’s Hospital is the first government hospital to implement the program of keeping the father in the delivery room.

Separate rooms have been prepared for each mother in the maternity ward, and it has been revealed that the mother can deliver the baby in a good state of mind through the program that allows her husband to stay with her during childbirth, the hospital director said. He said that this program will enable the mother’s pain to be shared between the two, and the relationship between husband and wife, as well as the parent-child relationship, will become stronger.
