- Iranian President’s Visit to Sri Lanka
In anticipation of the Iranian President’s half-day visit to Sri Lanka on Wednesday, April 24, authorities have announced a series of traffic disruptions and road closures.
According to police reports, several roads in Mattala, Thanamalvila, Wellawaya, and Uma Oya will be closed from 9:45 am to 11 am to facilitate the Iran President’s movements.
Additionally, the Katunayake-Colombo Expressway will experience closures from 2 pm to 3 pm and again from 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
In Colombo, a special traffic plan will be enforced, with multiple roads slated for closure throughout the day.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid inconvenience during this brief but significant visit.
