Eight-day marine weather forecast issued for coastal areas
– The Marine Weather Division of the Meteorology Department today issued an eight-day forecast for coastal areas around the country.According to the forecast, showers can be expected in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle.Winds are expected to reach speeds of up to 40 kmph, while rough sea conditions have been predicted in the areas off the coast from Kankasanthurai to Trincomalee via Mullaitivu.
