Guidelines issued for the distribution of disaster relief funds
The Ministry of Defense has issued a set of guidelines relating to the circular on the implementation of the program to empower those affected by disasters.
Issuing a statement in this regard, the Ministry of Defense said that the guidelines have received the concurrence of the Ministry of Finance and Planning as well as the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government.
Accordingly, the Secretary to the Ministry of Defense has issued these guidelines to District Secretaries and Divisional Secretaries concerning the distribution of disaster relief funds to affected communities.The guidelines also set out the respective roles and responsibilities of the parties involved in providing the relevant assistance.
