More than 3,500 police officers have been deployed to provide security and manage public safety during the National Poson Festival centred around Mihintale, the Anuradhapura Atamasthana and Tantirimale.

Police also stated that a special traffic plan will be in effect in and around Anuradhapura today (28) for the Mihindu Perahera.
