Didn’t use Zahran’s V8 – Sarath 
Former Minister of Public Security – Sarath Weerasekara has said that he has not used the luxury V8 vehicle used by the main suspect of the Easter bombings – Zahran Hashim.
The matter was taken up in parliament today (19) by SJB MP – Harin Fernando, after BBC Colombo correspondent – Ranga Srilal had exposed this.
Speaking, Sarath Weerasekara had said in parliament that he had inquired from the Ministry Secretary in this regard, as soon as he was made aware of the matter.
He said that he learnt that the vehicle in question has been confiscated by the government and handed over to the police and STF.
He had firmly stated that he had not used the vehicle.
