GMOA also gearing up for union action
The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has decided to launch a trade union action in government hospitals in five districts next week.
According to the Secretary of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) Dr. Senal Fernando, the GMOA has demanded that the Ministry of Health remove the Acting Director General of Health Services Dr. A. Wijesuriya from his post.
This is reportedly due to a problem with the assignment of post-internship doctors without transfer board approval.
