Defense Ministry issues guidelines on disaster-affected empowerment program
The Ministry of Defense has issued guidelines in connection with the circular on implementing the disaster-affected empowerment program.
In a statement, the Ministry said the guidelines have received approval from the Ministry of Finance and Planning as well as the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.Accordingly, the Defense Secretary has issued the guidelines to District and Divisional Secretaries on the distribution of disaster relief funds to affected communities.The guidelines outline the responsibilities of relevant institutions involved in providing relief and detail the allowances and assistance to be granted to beneficiaries.
