A stock of crystal methamphetamine (“Ice”), valued at nearly Rs. 55 million, has been discovered yesterday (May 28) hidden in the Thumbagalla Kanda forest area in Baduraliya, police said.According to Baduraliya Police, the narcotics were found inside a black travelling bag, which had been divided into 60 small packets.

Police suspect that an individual had transported the consignment to the forested area and left it concealed at the location, allegedly with the intention of it being retrieved later by another party.The individuals responsible for the narcotics stock have not yet been apprehended.
