The Supreme Court today (May 06) upheld the death sentence imposed on 04 suspects accused of the brutal abduction, gang rape, and murder of Jaffna schoolgirl Sivaloganathan Vidya in 2015.

The suspects include Swiss Kumar and 03 others, whose crime sparked widespread public outrage.

The ruling upholds the verdict delivered earlier by a three‑judge High Court bench, which found the 04 men guilty and sentenced them to death.
