– A team of investigators is obtaining complete data from the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) computer systems as part of an investigation into alleged corruption and irregularities within the department.

The operation reportedly involves the Walana Anti-Corruption Unit and aims to examine suspected fraudulent activities and identify possible irregularities in the department’s operations.A multidisciplinary team comprising professors from the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), officials from the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT), and technical experts from GovTech Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) is assisting in the data-gathering process.
