The Police Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended four individuals, including three Sri Lanka Army personnel, for their illegal entry into an archaeological site.

Among the arrested are a Lieutenant Colonel, a Sergeant, and a Corporal from the Army, as well as a Buddhist monk. The group was caught scanning the ground for hidden treasures at Mawadiodal in Karadiyanaru.
