The Divisional Secretary of Negombo has been found dead at his official residence today, the Police stated.

According to the Police, the 42-year-old state official is suspected to have died by suicide.The state official was found dead inside a room by an employee who had arrived at the residence for work purposes.

The Negombo Police has launched an investigation to ascertain if the death is a murder or suicide.
