Sri Lanka has recorded 95,035 dengue cases so far this year, with 72 dengue-related deaths, according to the National Dengue Control Unit A total of 9,699 cases were reported in August alone, with the Western Province recording the highest number at 50,287.

Gampaha has recorded the highest number of cases among districts, at 20,248. Meanwhile, 76 MOH areas have been identified as high-risk areas.
