The Colombo Crimes Division has reportedly recorded a statement from former Sri Lankan cricket legend Aravinda de Silva regarding the sudden death of former Sri Lankan Airlines executive Kapila Chandrasena.

In addition, statements have also reportedly been recorded from Aravinda de Silva’s wife, Anushka de Silva, and several others who were present at the house. Aravinda de Silva is understood to be a close relative of Kapila Chandrasena.

Mr Chandrasena’s body was discovered yesterday at Aravinda de Silva’s residence in Kollupitiya. Meanwhile, a five-member medical panel has been appointed to conduct the inquiry into the sudden death of Kapila Chandrasena.
