640 schools in Uva, Central and North Western Provinces will not reopen today
Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Nalaka Kaluwewa stated that 640 schools in the Uva, Central and North Western Provinces will not reopen tomorrow (16).He said provincial authorities had informed the Ministry of this decision, adding that schools in six provinces will fully reopen tomorrow.
The provinces scheduled to reopen tomorrow are the Western, Southern, Northern, Eastern, Sabaragamuwa and North Central Provinces.Accordingly, 524 schools in the Uva Province, 111 schools in the Central Province and five schools in the North Western Province will remain closed tomorrow
