The first match produced superb batting display by skipper Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis both scored hundred each in both innings while Kasun Rajitha picked up five wickets in the second innings to complete match bag of eight wickets but due to Injury Rajitha was back home last Thursday and paceman Asitha Fernando joined the squad Bangladesh made one change and brought in experienced former Skipper Shakib Al Hasan the all rounder and his inclusion is going to strengthen Bangladesh team.
Meanwhile Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe is not available for the second test and he already returned to Australia due to personal reasons and Assistant coach Nick Pothas from South Africa will take over as coach Sri Lanka skipper Dhananjaya de Silva pointed out the top order failure and he expected top order batsmen to click and if they will score I don’t stay long time at the middle as we have to build up a challenging total Our bowlers especially fast bowlers did decent job in the first test and hope they repeat their performance Sri Lanka most probably get Asitha Fernando for injured Kasun Rajitha and rest of the team will be the same .Two teams had their final training session yesterday at Chattogram Stadium .
