3 including TV presenter arrested for inciting violence
The Cyber Crimes Division of the CID has arrested three social media activists including a TV presenter of National TV for allegedly inciting violence.
The police headquarters say that the arrests were made today in the Dikwella, Gangodawila and Narahenpita areas.
The TV presenter is a 39-year old female from the Narahenpita area. The suspect arrested in the Dikwella area is a 22-year old engaged in vehicle repairs and the suspect arrested in Gangodawila is a 21-year old male working at a private firm.
Police are obtaining statements from them and they are to be produced before courts afterwards.
