Maithri’s writ petition to be taken up for consideration
The writ petition filed by former President Maithripala Sirisena against an order by the Fort Magistrate’s Court in relation to a case filed over Easter Sunday attacks, was ordered to be taken up for consideration on October 10.
Court of Appeal Judges Sobitha Rajakaruna and Dhammika Ganepola had given the order after considering a request made by the lawyers representing Mr. Sirisena.
The Fort Magistrate’s Court summoned Mr.Sirisena to appear in Court over a case filed regarding alleged negligence and failure to prevent the terrorist attacks on April 21, 2019.
