Even if I am forgotten, don’t forget the war heroes – Mahinda
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says he is not a racist despite some groups attempting to label him thus for political gain.
In a Facebook post, the former President stated that he is aware that pro-terror groups will continue attempts to influence the unity of the country in various ways, regardless of the passage of time.
He further said he does not know how long he will be able to continue standing for the unitary status of the country and for war heroes.
Rajapaksa added that even if he is forgotten in the future, war heroes must always be remembered and their dignity protected.
