No carcinogens in Thriposha: Keheliya
Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella today rejected the reports that the carcinogen aflatoxin was found in Thriposha distributed among the mothers with newborn babies.
Making a statement with regard to the matter in Parliament today (21), the minister further said, “I spoke about this last evening. I say with responsibility in this parliament that it is a blatant lie. I also informed the Secretary this morning and last night to take legal action against those who are involved in this issue. This is an unreasonable story. Anyone should receive permission from the Health Secretary if they are to say that there are aflatoxin carcinogens in Thriposha as it will make the people panic. Therefore, I am telling the parliament very clearly that from this moment on, I hope to take action accordingly.”
