China – SL agree to speed up negotiations to conclude free trade agreement
China and Sri Lanka have agreed to speed up the negotiation process and strive for an early conclusion of a free trade agreement, thereby boosting the confidence in and stabilizing the expectations for their economic and trade cooperation.
The matter was discussed during a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of China and Sri Lanka on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
