Minister Nalinda Jayatissa says a special series of public rallies covering all districts will be held from September 5 under the leadership of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

He said that, in parallel with this, a program to reorganize constituency councils at the Grama Niladhari Division level would also be implemented.Minister Nalinda Jayatissa made these remarks while speaking to the media in the Kalutara area.

“Instead of holding conspiratorial meetings night after night at G.L. Peiris’s house, come out onto the streets and do it. Hold public meetings and bring people together. Otherwise, there’s one thing better than Gotabaya, one thing better than Ranil Wickremesinghe, one thing better than this and one thing better than that. Those things are of no use. Words are of no use.

“As the National People’s Power, we are reorganizing constituency councils at the village level and at the Grama Niladhari Division level.

“From September 5, large public rallies will be held in districts under the leadership of the President. What we are saying is, if there is public opinion against the Government, prove it. That is all you have to do. At least take a look at the programme of work we carried out when we were in the Opposition.”
