Wanindu tops T20 bowler rankings again

Sri Lanka’s top spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has yet again managed to clinch the top of the T20I bowler rankings updated on Feb. 19.
While Wanindu is at the top with a rating of 695 points, Afghanistan star spinner Rashid Khan is behind by only one point.
In addition, Wanindu also holds the 4th position in the T20 all-rounder rankings as the 7th position in ODI all-rounder rankings.
Dhananjaya Silva is the only Sri Lankan player in the top ten of the latest ICC rankings. He remains at No. 10 in the ODI all-rounder rankings.

The Sri Lankan team was knocked out from the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup by the New Zealand team.
The team was defeated by New Zealand during the preliminary round of the tournament by 102 runs.
The New Zealand team which won the toss chose to bat first. At the end of the 20 overs, they scored 162 runs for three wickets.
However, the Sri Lankan team managed to score only 60 runs.

The Sri Lankan team lost by 10 wickets to the Australian team yesterday (16) in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup cricket tournament.
The Australian team won the toss and invited the Sri Lankan team to bat first.
Accordingly, at the end of the 20 overs, Sri Lankan players scored 112 runs for eight wickets.
The Australian players managed to score the target of 113 runs without losing any wicket in 15.5 overs.


The cricket match between Sri Lanka and Australia will be held at 6.30 pm in South Africa today (16) under the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Australia is in first place in the first group followed by Sri Lanka.
