The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced that the public consultation on the proposed electricity tariff revision for 2026 will be held in Colombo today (May 06).

PUCSL Director of Corporate Communications – Jayanath Herath stated that oral submissions from the public will be accepted from 8.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

The consultation process follows the submission of a revised electricity generation cost estimate for the second and third quarters of 2026 by the National System Operator (Pvt) Ltd. to the PUCSL.

The PUCSL has previously stated that its final decision on the proposed electricity tariff revision will be made public on May 09.
